Episode #4 available

recorded a new episode last night whilst playing a real money $5 tournament on ladbrokespoker.com
My pokerstars accounts is running low and have found that I can do instantaneous transfers using my switch card to this one....could be dangerous.

Don't want to give too much away, suffice to say that I'm dissapointed with the end result, although I have some interesting hands to reflect on.

Intro music provided by music.podshow.com (On the Sixth Day Marriott Jazz Quintet)
Various podcasts mentioned, the usual (pokerdiagram, cardclub, fivehundybymidnight and a new one radioopensource.org who has a great show about poker couple of weeks ago)

Just stumled across your podcast thought id drop you a line, enjoyed the podcast, abit different from the others out there

Couple of comments from the episode 4 i just listened too:

remember the limits your playing, your making the same mistake i did that is giving people way too much respect, they are not phil hellmuth and!! 99.99% of people at these levels are not as good as you think they are.

And ditch the Ax, at these levels way too many people play any ace, even if you hit the ace you wont know where you are, also stand the minimum raises with a pp, you can get away cheaply if you dont hit and if you do your gonna take down a pot

These are just a few things ive picked up playing these low STT's

Other than that, read Harrington on holdem, volume 1 is excellent for tournament play (think 2 is out as well)

By the way I was laughing when you couldnt work out the transfer of chips on ladbrokes, exactly the same think happened to me!

Small Stakes Hold 'Em is great, but for limit play. Remember to forget most of what's in it when you play a sit 'n go. Especially once a few people get knocked out.

For no limit tourney play, read either Harrington's stuff or Slansky's tournament book.
